Turin Metro

The project concerns the stretch of Line 1 of the Subway of Turin between the Lingotto and Bengasi terminals.

The structures in the new section are two stations "Italy 61" and "Bengasi" and three ventilation shafts.

The stations are made with diaphragms of width 120 cm and length of about 30 m, while the cover slab is thick 150 cm and is lightened with tubular steel of 90 cm diameter.

The foundation slab is located about 22 m from the road level.

The intermediate ventilation shafts have an inner diameter of 5 meters and are about 29 and 24 m deep from the road level; the communication between shaft and line is realized by a connecting tunnel. The terminal shaft has a rectangular section of approximately 16x15 m and is about 28 m deep.
